Village provençal

The house is in the heart of the small Provencal village of Saint-Pierre-de-Vassols, located at the foot of the Mont-Ventoux (1,911m). The village is surrounded by vineyards, pines, olive and fruit trees. It is a charming village that has retained it’s peaceful Provencal rhythm. The fertile and hilly surrounding area offers beautiful routes for walking and cycling, and climbing sites.

Cycling paradise

The house is situated in the center of a road and mountain bike paradise. We offer a few bicycles for rent, and there is a basement to store and or work on your own bikes. We can suggest great routes for riding, and offer personalized tours depending on the time of your visit.

Parking spaces are available at the front of the house for free. The village has a real soul, away from mass tourism. There is a post office, a small restaurant and a hair salon. The village of Bédoin is 5 km, Carpentras 10 km and Avignon 30 km away. You can rent a car at the Avignon train station or take a bus to Carpentras and book a taxi for € 15-20 to reach the village.

We are 2 brothers with french-swiss nationality. Our grandmother felt in love with the region and decided to acquire the property. Today, we continue to share the passion for the region and making constant improvments to the house for a better guest experience.

Lives in Provence. Our green thumb and constant gardener. Avid of serious discussions.

Lives in Switzerland. Mont Ventoux mountain-biking advocate and competitive cyclist. Nerdy at some time.

Booked the house for a short stay with 4 adults. 3 bedrooms, 2 seperate bathrooms and a nice kitchen. All you need is available. Rooms were nice and 2 very big ones. The house is located at a very intimate, quite and small square within the village center. If you are looking for peace this is the place. It is an excellent place to explore the neighboorhood as well. We stayed at the house to climb the Mont Ventoux (Cingle du Mont Ventoux!) and other rides. The basement is offered to store the bikes. Sylvestre and Noel are very helpful and respond either via mail or phone directly. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Stephanie although she did not speak English and we only a few words of French she all possible to explain the house etc. Due to the good weather we had the pleasure of having breakfast and dinner on the terrace. On the back side there is another terrace. Certainly recommended and would definitely go back for another stay.  If you really can’t do without, WIFI is available and working perfect.

I planned a short break to cycle Mt Ventoux with my 11 year old son (on a tandem) and found the perfect place to stay. Sylvestre was very flexible with the arrangements to suit my exact requirements. On arrival his brother Noel was there to help settle in, he was very helpful – particularly with my odd request to find a local spot for a short lake swim to fill the first afternoon. The guys were always helpful but definitely not intrusive. If you need any advice on bikes hire speak to Sylvestre before you book anything in Bedoin. We had a great time, Tom enjoyed eating on the terrace; borrowing the petanque for an evening game and short evening strolls in Crillon-le-Brave & Bedoin to wind down after a hard day on the bike. He also enjoyed visiting the ochre hills at Roussillon which was a scenic drive. All in all a great base for a short active break! Thanks guys.

Amazing house very well renovated in a very nice and quite small town near the Mont Ventoux. We stayed for three days to ride the Ventoux. Very large basement to store bikes or any other equipment. Three large bedrooms with comfortable beds. We absolutely loved to sit on the outside terrace with a bottle of wine after our rides. Very nice welcome by Sylvestres brother Noel.

Our stay here was so fantastic I don’t even know where to begin. First, the basics that most people want to know: water pressure, bed comfort, size and aesthetics of the place – tout c’est bon. Très, très (très, très) bon. The place is even more beautiful than the pictures, the neighbors are really nice, the area is quiet, and for cycling and nature you could not pick a nicer location. Secondly, the host. Sylvestre was there with us our whole stay, which is not necessarily typical. It turned out to be a gift that I cannot overstate the value of. Aside from the fact that he is an amazing cyclist and knows the area like the back of his hand, he was also hilarious and generous and we began to really look forward to spending each day with him. So, even if he is not there during your stay, at least know that you are in good hands. If it sounds like I am gushing, it’s because I am. What can I say? We thought we were booking a decent place and ended up with an extraordinary experience.
